Cookie Policy
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Last updated: [LAST UPDATED]
1. What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy explains how T1Dub uses cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) when you use our website and application. It complements our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. "First-party" cookies are set by T1Dub; "third-party" cookies are set by other services we use. We also use related technologies such as your browser's local storage, which works like a cookie but is read by the application rather than sent automatically with every request.
3. How We Keep You Signed In
T1Dub signs you in using a JSON Web Token (JWT) that the application stores in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. We use cookies primarily for session management on our admin/API surfaces and for security (CSRF protection). The table below lists what we use.
4. Cookies & Storage We Use
4.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the Service to function. These cannot be switched off.
- auth token (browser local storage, key
token) — keeps you signed in. First-party. Persists until you log out or clear browser storage; the underlying access token expires after 1 day and the refresh token after 7 days. - csrftoken (cookie) — protects against cross-site request forgery on form and API requests. First-party. Typically lasts up to 1 year.
- sessionid (cookie) — maintains a server session for the Django admin and browsable API. First-party. Expires at the end of the session or per server configuration.
4.2 Functional
Remember your preferences to improve your experience.
- theme / UI preferences (browser local storage) — remembers settings such as light/dark mode. First-party. Persists until cleared.
4.3 Analytics
Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We only set these where permitted. [List specific analytics cookies/providers if and when enabled; none are set by default.]
4.4 Marketing
Used to measure or deliver advertising. [T1Dub does not currently set marketing cookies. Update this section if that changes.]
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some pages may load resources from providers we rely on (for example, payment, hosting, or content-delivery services), which can set their own cookies governed by their privacy policies. Our payment processor, Paddle, may set cookies during checkout.
6. Managing Your Cookies
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies or clearing the auth token will sign you out and may break parts of the Service.
- You can sign out at any time to remove your stored authentication token.
- Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential (analytics or marketing) cookies.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our technology or legal obligations change. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
